Tree Assessments
Basic Tree Assessment:
The BTA provides information beyond specific defects, risks of failure, or symptoms of disease or infestation. The BTA provides helps you understand how your tree interrelates with other issues facing the tree, including the community of trees, its life cycle, and how trees live, die and fall apart. The BTA looks more at the whole tree as opposed to focusing on a single issue or symptom.
The BTA is a verbal, face to face meeting with you and any other interested property owners where we look at the tree together, discuss your concerns & goals, perform a limited visual assessment of the tree, consider its overall condition and evaluate any obvious signs and symptoms it may exhibit. We will also consider potential risks and targets the tree may pose. We will then discuss possible remediation or mitigation options, or, any advanced diagnostics you may wish to consider and on what timetable.
Through the BTA you gain knowledge about the tree(s), its environment and condition that can assist you in making more informed decisions regarding its immediate concerns and long term care. Keep in mind that since the BTA is a verbal consultation no written report or summary will be provided so please come prepared to take plenty of notes.
The fees for a BTA are as follows:
- Mondays or Fridays: $75 for the first tree plus $35 for each additional tree
- Evenings: $85 for the first tree and $45 for each additional tree
- Saturday mornings: $95 for the first and $55 for each additional tree.
